During this weekend course, especially designed for flamenco dance and flamenco singing enthusiasts, you will learn to sing traditional bulerías letras, learn about different types of letras (opening letra, macho/valiente letra and exit/coletilla) and practice the 12-part rhythm of the bulería through various exercises. At the same time, you will become familiar with Spanish terminology.

The workshop is taught by flamenco singer Anna Murtola. One of the pioneers of flamenco singing in Finland, Anna started her flamenco singing studies in the beginning of 2000’s and has studied in Spain with the top artists and teachers. She has a wide experience in teaching and developing teaching methods for flamenco singing, especially for Finnish and other non-Spanish students. Anna has a Master’s degree in music from the Nordic Master of Global Music programme between Sibelius Academy and the Danish Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and she works as a performing freelance artist.

Teaching language is Finnish.
