Flamenco is a dance form that suits women and men of all ages. Our classes cover all age groups. You learn flamenco arm movements, posture and elegance, Spanish rhythms and basic footwork. The dance form improves posture, strengthens arms, stomach, back and legs, improves rhythm “feeling”, the joints gain more flexibility while having fun. The class consists of an hour of flamenco training with fixed warm-up, stomp training, arm movements, choreography and continues with half an hour of yoga/stretching. This is a very nice training combination. Yoga mats are available to borrow.
Equipment: steady shoes with a bit of heel and a skirt to mid-calf with width. We have some skirts and flamenco shoes for loan, but eventually you can get flamenco shoes online or at La dance in Oslo. Men dance in trousers/jeans and shoes with a little heel. There are no classes during the autumn holidays (week 40) and the last class before Christmas is 13. Dec. (week 50)
We have classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
