In twenty years, a child grows into an adult, a young person becomes middle-aged, and a middle-aged person inevitably grows older, but a tree has only just begun its growth. In years, twenty is a window of time during which changes should be made in order to avoid the realization of threats. In the same time, a child grows into an adult, a young person becomes a middle-aged, and a middle-aged person inevitabky grows older.
In the life of a tree, it is only the beginning.
This work started in 2020 when one of the time windows closed and we fell into some kind of intermediate space, confused by reality. How do we react to change?
We started working mainly remotely, through online connections, and explored how to find alive connection and how to sense each other over the small delay of time which is always present in online connections. The work is our joint journey, which also draws from our common friendship – over an average of 20 years.
