Northern Flamenco Network, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Ingrid Mugu invite everyone to the first get-together and Zambomba of Tallinn!
Zambomba is a form of celebrating Christmas with villancicos, Spanish Christmas songs, combined with loads of flamenco feeling, as well as familiar openness in the expression where both musicians and dancers can join in on common grounds. Perhaps you’ll even get to see and hear a zambomba, the instrument that gives the evening its name…!
You will learn some of the most popular villancicos and how to accompany them with palmas (handclaps) and some typical percussive instruments or, if you want, a few typical dance steps! Musicians are welcome to the Zambomba workshop with their own instruments!
